Cheam is an area in south west London, in the borough of Sutton. It is between Epsom and Sutton, and north of Banstead. Cheam has its own railway station and is about 30 minutes from Victoria Railway Station. Cheam is south of the A24 and north of the A232.

Cheam is made up of Cheam Village and North Cheam. Cheam Village has a range of shops, cafes and restaurants. Many of these are part of commercial chains, although there are also independent places to shop and eat. Several of the buildings in Cheam Village are historic, and protected by a conservation area. North Cheam is to the north of Cheam Village. It also has a number of shops and restaurants, and a post office. It is home to St Anthony’s, which is a large private hospital, and Cheam Leisure Centre.

Cheam has many historic landmarks. One of these is Nonsuch Mansion, which is a Grade II listed Gothic revival mansion. It is occasionally open to the public, and available for hire. It was built in the 1730s by Joseph Thompson, and is situated in Nonsuch Park. This is a public park in the west of Cheam, which was previously a deer hunting park established by Henry VIII. Today Nonsuch Park is managed by Epsom and Sutton Councils, and hosts a parkrun every Saturday morning.

Another historic landmark in Cheam is St Dunstan’s Church. This was built in 1864, on the site of a medieval church. It was designed in Gothic revival style by F. H. Pownall, and is Grade II listed.
